Benefits of Green Tea

For this post i wanted to talk to you guys about green tea and all the benefits it has. For the people that drink green tea regularly will now know all the great things its doing for you and for the people that have never tried it or don't like teas then maybe after this you'll be willing to give it a shot.

you can make many beauty products from green tea such as moisturizers, lip balm, face/body scrub, toner, face mask,

helps fight off infections

helps treat cuts, scrapes and inflammation

helps with the effects of allergies

can lower chances of cancer, heart diseases,high cholesterol, and many other diseases

theres lots more benefits but i don't want to go on and on listing them all so those are just a few to give you an idea on how much green tea can help

the best green tea to use is matcha green tea because it has 100% of it anti-oxidants and nutrients.

for those people who dislike hot teas then i recommend Starbucks green tea frapuccino or the green tea latte..i love both of them and its so much tastier than drinking plain tea. I'm not a big fan of hot teas so i prefer these options much better but a warm tea once in a while is quite relaxing and soothing.

Extra tip: don't make your tea in boiling hot water because it can kill most of the anti-oxidants and nutrients that carry the health benefits so its best to use semi hot/warm water

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer Review

So I'm pretty sure you guys have heard of this concealer because people are going crazy for it and they have a good reason for it lol.

What i say (My review):

The Good:
This concealer is amazing, it will cover anything..any imperfections, dark circles and believe it or not it actually does cover tattoos, i don't have any but my bf does and he let me test it out on him and yup it works. it is a very thick consistency so it does need a lot of blending so its best to apply it with a blending fluffy brush like MAC's 224. and another great thing about it is the size, its pretty big because most concealers come in a small pot/tube since you don't need very much but The hard candy concealer will last you years and years lol no lie because the formula is thick and very pigmented/opaque so you only need a very very tiny tiny! amount. I'm not lying, you need less than a dot. The amount i used in the swatch picture will cover your whole face lol. I also like how it comes with a small concealer pencil which i use for small spots that don't need very much coverage. This concealer does wonders but i mainly use it for blemishes/redness and not for under eye dark circles which brings me to the bad part.......

P.S another great thing is the price! so cheap

The Bad:
This concealer completely vanishes my dark circles which i love but what i hate is that no matter how i apply it, how much, or how i blend it,  it always creases on me which is a big thumbs down for me. even if i apply a tiny amount it accentuates my fine lines and it looks very dry under the eyes so if you don't really have dark circles then skip it, i use my regular everyday concealer under my eyes, but if you have terrible under eye dark circles then i recommend using and under eye primer or a thick moisturizing eye cream and blend blend blend the concealer so it doesn't crease as much or maybe it won't crease at all for you. That's the only bad part about this concealer, other than that its great and i recommend it.

My New Favorite Nail Ploish: Mint Sorbet

Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Mint Sorbet

Ive been on the hunt for the perfect mint nail polish because im obsessed with mint everything lol. I was going to buy china glaze nail polish in refresh mint which is $5.99. Then i saw this nail polish (sally hansen xtreme wear) online and i thought i would go look at it in person. its funny because it was out of stock and i got sad but then i saw it in another nail polish section of another brand and it was the last one and i got happy haha funny huh.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet (No Flash)

It was very cheap for about $2.50 at walmart. When i tried it on i fell in love. its the perfect shade of mint just like the icecream. I personally don't like mint colors that are blue toned i like the green toned. Thats why the picture has no flash because every pic i took in flash looked blue. From what Ive seen on blogs i think mint sorbet is a close dupe to china glaze refresh mint.

I love it because its so true to color and very opaque. i hardly applied a 2nd coat and it is very rich in color. This is the only picture with flash that truly captured the color. i didn't apply a base or top coat and the color has lasted and it hasnt chipped. Amazing! i love it..i wear it everyday.

Ice Cream

So i bought the strawberries & creme starbucks ice cream and I'm so glad i did because i literally went on an ice cream hunt to look for it lol. i couldn't find it anywhere! until i found it at walmart when they restocked! which gets me kinda angry cause that's the first place i looked and it wasn't there until i went back a 2nd time. i wen to vons, stater bros, and target and no!   lol I'm crazy for ice cream =D

I often get the strawberries & creme frappuccino because when my son sees me with a frappuccino he always wants one & i don't wanna give him anything coffee and this was also the 1st drink i ever got from starbucks because i used to completely hate coffee. So This ice cream tastes just the same if not better than the actual drink. I love it soo much and it has pieces/chunks of strawberries in it which i like. This ice cream is very addicting and i can have it all day because it has no coffee. i don't know about you guys but if i have too much coffee in one day i get tired of taste fast. This ice cream tastes great and it good for the people who dislike coffee. A+++

From May 6-15 starbucks is offering half off frappuccino from 3:00-5:00 which is amazing. i went the 6th and Ive been going everyday to get my frappuccino lol (call me crazy but i love starbucks) I'm really sorry I'm telling u guys all late but i thought u guys might know since it is being advertised online and on t.v but you can still take advantage until the 15th.

So what I've been getting lately is the new mocha coconut frappuccino and the coconut & creme frappuccino which i love and i am obsessed with. I love anything coconut as far as scent and taste so when i saw these i got super excited.
and i believe these are for limited time

i took a quick pic of the coconut & creme so its bad quality.(sorry) as you can see I've already drank a good amount lol and u can see the toasted coconut on top which i love as well. This has no coffee which is good cause my son loves it. This one tastes like sweet coconut milk and even if u don't like coconut then u might still want to give it a try cause my bf hates coconut but he liked this one.

Ingredients:
A blend of milk, ice and coconut-flavored syrup, blended and topped with sweetened whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes.


The mocha coconut frappuccino is great as well. I don't have a pic of it because i didn't have my cam with me but it looks just like the picture above the coconut one. This one does have coffee and i love it because you can taste the coconut and the chocolate mmm its so delicious.

Rich mocha sauce and coconut-flavored syrup blended with coffee, fresh milk, and ice. Topped with sweetened whipped cream, mocha drizzle and toasted coconut flakes.

I don't know how long they have had these out cause i never really look at their bakery section but u should cause they have so many amazing things. My favorite one is the rocky road one and i tried the birthday cake one today which i love too. but I'm a chocolate person so rocky road for me

Fashion Haul

All the stuff that I'm going to show in this blog post wasn't bought all at the same time. Ive been shopping lately and i wanted to include all the stuff in one post instead of making separate posts. I did buy some of this stuff on separate days. All the stuff I've been buying lately are for spring because i have tons of winter clothes and hardly any spring/summer clothes so I've been shopping like crazy lol..... Ok so onto the goodies =)

Jewelry

All this jewelry i purchased from forever 21. Ive been obsessed with their jewelry because its really nice and affordable which i love. I don't like to buy expensive jewelry because i always tend to lose them or break them lol. Ive also been buying a lot of gold because i hardly have any and i think its great for spring because it looks lovely with corals,pinks,greens, and any other bright color. and gold is compliments ladies on the tanner/darker side like myself.

All the necklaces i own are long and very out there so i wanted to buy simple small necklaces. a simple necklace for certain types of shirts that wont look good with long necklaces, for when your wearing big earrings. Because they are so simple they can be worn with any outfit. I really really like them and the best part is that they are very affordable that's why I've been buying lots of these.

I'm usually into big dangle earrings but I have noticed that sometimes when my outfit, makeup , or hair is too much or a certain style then its best to wear studs but i never owned any (except when i was little lol). So I'm very glad i bought these because they are very simple but very pretty and it doesn't overdo it. Its nice for when you have a big/extravagant necklace then the earrings tones it down a bit.

The rings i liked very much as well because they come in a set of 3 and they are meant to wear together in one finger and I've always wanted to get some like these but usually they are expensive. but both pieces were affordable

These i bought at papaya not at forever 21. I had to pick up this skirt because I'm really into flower print and its one of the top spring trends and skirts are great for the hot weather. The top is a simple top for those days that i don't want to dress up and i want to keep it simple. i lied it because of the minty blue color.

I didn't want to post this pic because it is very bad quality but i wanted you guys to get an idea of what the color is. with flash the color would look washed out so i took it without flash. so i just bought two spaghetti strap shirts mint and peach color to put under other shirts. i really love these colors.

EOS Lip Balm Review

Today i am going to review the eos (evolution of smooth) lip balm in sweet mint. They have different colors and flavors but i chose this one because i love mint. Ive previously purchased the green one called honeysuckle honeydew but i can't show it because i lost it (actually my son "misplaced it" lol). So obviously what caught my attention was the sphere shape and at first it felt weird applying it but you get used to it. I have seen some people  apply it on both lips at the same time but i can't do that. It does have a flat bottom so it can stand alone.

When you apply this lip balm it does apply really smooth and because it is mint it does give you that minty/tingling feeling on your lips which i like but i know a lot of people dislike it, but not all the lip balms have it just this one. The smell is kinda minty and it has no particular taste (a lip balm taste i guess lol) .Some cons is that it doesn't provide long lasting moisture, its one of those lip balms that you have to constantly re-apply throughout the day which a lot of people do anyways, and it doesn't contain SPF which is very important during spring/summer, apparently only the lemon drop has the SPF. Another con some people might have is the actual shape because it is kinda bulky so it might be uncomfortable in your pocket but for me it's not a problem since i carry everything in my purse. To me its a regular lip balm, theres nothing special to it and its not great but its not expensive either(got mine for $3) so you can still try it. what i mainly liked is the shape because its unique but the product itself doesn't do wonders. I'm 50/50 on it

My Free NYX Gift!!

Hey so today i wanted to share with you guys my free gift that i received in the mail. First of all i want to let you guys know that i am not affiliated with nyx so they didn't send me this to review or for any business purpose. I received this for Easter..some are wondering what?! for Easter?! lol. Some people might know or might not know but on April 23- 24 NYX was having an Easter hunt on their website. The people who subscribed to their email news letter got the email for the egg hunt. So I got excited and i went to the website and i went crazy trying to find eggs and i found 3! so i wrote them an email telling them where i found the eggs and i only told them about two because i didn't know if there was a limit of one egg or not. well at first i thought my price was going to be an online coupon then the next day i got an email back asking for my address for my prize..and i got excited! but then i thought oh they're only going to send me a sample lol
 but i got happy when i saw that they sent me real size products and then i felt dumb lol. I'm guessing they sent me 2 prizes cause i found two eggs? so now i regret not putting down more eggs lol anyways i love my Prize, i got a trio eyeshadow palette in Hippie-chic and a black label lipstick in Debutante.

I like these shades because they are light pastel colors that are nice for the spring season. All the colors are sheer.

The 1st color is a shimmery white

The 2nd color is seafoam blue/green

The 3rd color is a pale lilac color

The colors are nice although I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to work them but I'm sure ill figure it out, there are many looks i can create with these.

I was very excited for this lipstick for two reasons. first because i don't own any of their black label lipstick which i have always wanted and second because I've been wanting to buy a coral lip color for spring. This lipstick shade is a peachy coral. I know it looks orange in the pic but in real life you can see the pink coral.
The color is very sheer as you can see in the swatch so sadly it's not so opaque as id like but its still nice. It reminds more of a lipgloss so i think it would look nicer on top of another lipstick.
but overall its nice to have.

Many uses for Olive Oil

So many people don't know how great olive oil can be and all the uses there is for it. It's a very handy and useful product to have. Some people might know some uses for olive oil but theres way more than what we know.
First im going to list the beauty uses for olive oil and then other uses for random different things. I didn't figure this out all on my own..i learned by asking around, research on google, and by self experince when i experiment lol. If you start using olive oil as a substitute for others things it can truly be a money saver!

1. Olive oil is good to remove your eye makeup. it's very gentle and moisturizing.
2. comb some oil through your hair to help with frizzy or tangled hair.
3. it's also good as a deep treatment for damaged hair. you can apply it on your scalp and some on the ends of your hair and leave it on for 20 min with a cap on and then rinse. Trust me it makes a difference. you can also apply warm oil on your scalp and then massage for 10 min to promote hair growth. you can use it as a daily conditioner.
4. Some people use it before shaving for a close shave or apply after shaving to soothe skin and moisturize. 
5. you can use a a body moisturizer. you can apply it directly or add a bit to a warm bath. Olive oil is said to prevent cancer and it's great for anti-aging.
6. you can soothe chapped lips by mixing olive oil with melted beeswax/vaseline and apply to lips.
7. Olive oil can be used on your makeup brushes to keep them soft.
8. For dry hands or dry feet, you should apply oil at night and sleep with cotton gloves and/or fluffly cotton socks
9.Soak your fingernails into oil to soften cuticles and to strenghten brittle nails or you can just spply it directly to the nails/cuticles.
10. you can use the oil to create a face/body scrub by mixing olive oil, sugar/sea salt, and honey. I love using this scrub on my face.
11. you can use it on a skin rash or a sun burn
12. I actually read that if you drink a bit of olive oil before bed it prevents snoring. crazy huh? (i should try it on my man lol jk) it also soothes a scratchy throat.
13. It cures an earache if you dab a bit in your ear with a cotton swab.
14. I think the most important use is for cooking. It's very healthy, it promotes good cholesterol, it's good if you have ulcers, prevents gallstones, and it has many antioxidents that are said to prevent cancer.

There are so many more uses for olive oil that i can go on and on but i don't want ton because it's a pretty long list already lol. If your planning to use olive oil for a beauty purpose and you don't want to smell like kitchen lol or you don't like the smell of the oil then you can apply lavender oil or rose oil to cover the smell. But i don't think olive oil has a strong unpleasant scent but it is nice to have a lovely scent if it's going to be used on the skin or hair.

Quick Outfit Post

This is a quick outfit post because i didn't include my whole outfit..i just wanted to show the shirt and the necklace because i love both them and they look great together.Im sorry i didn't put the whole outfit..i took a quick pic cause i had somewhere to go but i just wore some plain dark jeans with some black heel boots and as jewelry i just had rhinestone studs cause i didn't want any other piece of jewelry to take away from the necklace and i also didn't want to over do it.

Ive always wanted to get this owl necklace because i love the detail and it actually bends/dangles..? if that makes any sense lol. I had seen this necklace before but i had never bought it because they were usually pricey like around $10 but i found it for $4 and i had to get it.

I have always been into animal print..zebra being my favorite and i have a lot of cheetah print but i wanted black and white cheetah and this shirt is perfect. It isn't tight fitting it's kinda loose so you can wear a belt with it or a nice jacket/cardigan but it's best for when it's cold cause its not really a spring trend but i loved it so i had to have it.

How to make Lip color Last longer

Some people might already know how to make their lip color last because it is fairly easy but some people might still need the tips. I remember when i first applied lipstick i was very young and my lipstick wasn't defined and it would smear and feather and so after that i stuck to lipgloss but now i love lipstick!

Step 1: Prep & Prime
To prepare your lips for lip color you want to exfoliate your lips to remove any unwanted dry skin/flakes, that way your lipstick will have a silky surface to apply smoothly and you won't be able to see any fine lines or any dryness.  To exfoliate you can use a wet washcloth and gently rub your lips, you can use a slightly wet toothbrush and gently rub them in a circular motion or you can use a lip scrub(optional). Exfoliating your lips is not always necessary because some people might not have dry/chapped lips, if your lips are somewhat dry but they're not too bad then you can just apply a lip balm/chapstick. (Exfoliating and moisturizing is really important when using a Matte finish Lipstick)  My usual way to prime my lips is just applying my chapstick but some people prefer an actual primer that prevents smudging, makes lip colors last and makes fine lines disappear from your lips kinda like an eyeshadow primer. But i don't think it's a must but if you want to spend the extra bucks then go right ahead. Also some people prefer to apply a thin coat of foundation,concealer,or powder to their lips to neutralize their natural lip color so it doesn't interfere with the lipstick color and it will remain true to color when applied. Doing this will also help the lipstick to last.

Step 2: Line your Lips 
After prepping your lips you'll want to line your lips with a nude lipliner that's close to your lipcolor to prevent feathering. you can also wear whatever shade of lipliner you want according to your lipstick shade,but a nude lipliner works great for any shade of lipstick. To help your lipstick last longer it's best to fill in your entire lips with your lipliner which will also prevent smudging.

Step 3: Applying your lip color 
Most people will apply lipstick straight from the tube which is fine but it's better to apply with a lip brush which will give you more precision. It will take a bit longer but it will guarantee precise lip color that doesn't go out of your natural lipline  Make sure you cover the entire lips and make sure you get the color in the corners.

Step 4: Lip Gloss
This step is optional but most people apply a gloss on top of their lipcolor. you can apply a clear gloss or a colored gloss that compliments your lip color. It's best to apply a bit of gloss in the center of your lips to make them look fuller or you can apply gloss on your entire lips..its a personal preference.

P.S- you can prep your lips and apply your lip color however you like because I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys have your own techniques..These are just a few tips that work for me.

Happy Easter!!

Hello everyone and happy easter!!..i know im saying happy easter all late cause it's 10:30pm right now but we just got home a lil while ago. so today we had a long day
(If you don't want to hear about my day then just skip & look at the pix.)
so early this morning me and my boyfriend went to go buy the rest of the stuff we needed to complete the easter basket. I had previously bought some easter items like a month before but i thought it was too early so i didn't get everything and this morning i was searching through the last few items for easter(im always a last minute person) anyways after that i went home to make the basket got ready and took my son to play with his cousins. ate a burger and some chicken.and the best part i had some candy(chocolate) mmmm! my oyfriend was saying i was such a kid cause i had chocolate all day but hey i looove chocolate. anyways after that we went to my parents house and dyed some eggs and had an egg hunt inside cause it was soo cold outside ok enough talking. so yea i hope you guys had a great easter!

Heres the basket i made for my son. I was going to buy him one but most of them had toys that were meant for older kids and my son is 1 1/2 years old so i decided to make my own that has toys and candy that i know he'll love and im glad i did because i had tons of fun doing his basket. Im a very crafty person and im pretty sure ill be doing another one next year.

Kiss Acrylic Sculpting Kit

Now that it's spring i want to get bright colorful nails but i didn't want to spend a ton of money on them especially when you get decorations they charge soo much so i bought this kit to do my own acrylic nails and i bought some nail decorations/art. Ive always been interested in learning how to do acrylic nails cause i think it looks easy(at least to me) My sister loves nails and i love makeup, im always experimenting with makeup and she experiments with nail art. well anyways she bought everything she needs to do acrylic nails but its just sitting there. she is scared to try it out because she doesn't know how i was going to use her stuff to do my nails but i felt bad for some reason and i knew i would probably do my nails again in the future so i just bought the kit also because it was inexpensive.
I already have all of the bright nail polishes that i bought for my spring nails that i will show in an upcoming post.

I will Probably post a few pics of the final results but im scared that they will look so ugly that it will be too embarassing to post lol. Hopefully they will turn out at least normal looking lol

I bought all this stuff on ebay for pretty cheap. I will using this stuff to decorate my nails. I will be putting flowers and rhinestones on my nails.

The left wheel is 3D acrylic flowers and the right wheel is different colored rhinestones
The black tools are nail art picking tools that are not really needed but it was cheap so i got it
the last tool all the way at the bottom is a cuticle pusher that you need before doing your nails.
